Holy Awkward Moments

So yeah... I'm getting ready to leave for a date. I hate first dates they are always awkward and i end up doing stupid things to make the girl laugh, sigh oh well as long as I don't end up naked on an unknown street corner somewhere (long story)  it wont be the worst date i have ever had...

I'm supposed to find her place.... for those of you unaware... I have no sense of direction... this is going to be interesting... oh and as a special bonus i have to be at work at 4 am... sigh...

Thankfully I do not take my job seriously. If I didn't the comments i am subjected to on a regular basis would more than likely drive me mad.  I have another early day filled with annoyance ahead of me tomorrow so I will keep this brief, one day I will know all the answers... 

Random Rip off... So I assume many of you know what a Nintendo Wii is, and on that same assumption, what an X-Box 360 is. Today I received an email from the makers of the 360 telling me they were updating and redesigning their online side of the console (arguably already the best of online set ups at the moment)  and then one of the attached images of the new design showed the new avatar system which looked remarkably similar to if not a glossier version of Nintendo's Mii characters... I assume there will be much whimpering in the near future... and Hence I laugh and others will cry.

Writes with a Keyboard

Instead of catching up on some much needed sleep this evening i have been watching Dances with Wolves... such a great movie... It has been a long time since I last watched it. I was challenged by my sister in-law to watch some of the un-opened movies I have instead of always buying new ones, it has been a long while since i have had the money to purchase a movie, much to my chagrin but at least I am able to enjoy some old classics... Obviously at this point my indian name would the Title. 

Random self promise of the Day, I have decided that each day after work I am going to sit for an hour at the local Starbucks and read to decompress from the days stresses, this is also provides many opportunities to people watch... Which i do so enjoy... 

Spore Free Time

     So I literally didn't do much today, I woke up, made a bowl of cereal, played spore. a couple of hours later, i made a quesadilla and played Spore, after that I made dinner and then I played Spore... tomorrow I am going to work. Sigh... no Spore in that future...

I got off of work a little after 1PM, I came home I puttered and milled around a little and then I slept until 9 pm... I have the next two days off after which all of the stupidity will begin anew ..

Random Fact... I texted the previously mentioned girl that gave me her number, nothing has come of it. Everything is as it should be. 

Melting Minutes

Is it only me or does it seem that the time we have to ourselves melts a way with each passing day? I went to work this morning at 6 30 am... I left work at 5 30 PM.... I am returning to work at 3 30... grrr at life... hmmm I might sneak one episode of Doctor Who in before i call it a night...

So an interesting thing happened to me while i was at work today, One of the outsourced Inventory personnel (who was blatantly interested) randomly handed me her phone number... that hasn't happened in a while... made feel all warm and cuddly like.

Inventory @ Wally World

Inventory  at Wal~Mart is similar to drinking an entire bottle of colon blow and then getting stuck in an elevator. You know it's coming, you know it isn't going to go well and you are aware there is nothing you can do but hold on and hope for the best. Today started at 545 am (I woke up late.) it is 12:15 I am home from work for the second time today and I have to be back in the store at 7 am. Le sigh

I am going to post this @ 11:59 i'll let you in on a secret if a post says it was posted at 11:59 I have altered it. it's my neurotic way of knowing what i did when I randomly peruse back through old posts which I am prone to do now and again.

A day in the life

I spent my entire day convinced I was going to go home a couple hours early from work for no reason other than I really didn't want to be there. Tensions are running pretty high at work, I find it mildly amusing as I refuse to let Wal~Mart Stress me out.  

  Once I finally got home from work three hours after i had planned and an hour after I was scheduled to be off I filmed and edited my Monday video, and checked my emails and then eagerly awaited the Heroes Season 3 premier.

For some unknown reason one of my roommate decided to throw a conniption fit twenty minutes before the show, reminding me that while i am not only on the constant look out for better employment I am also looking for new residence. 

 The  Heroes two hour premier was pretty epic, interesting twists and new directions for each of the characters and an original take on the save the world plot that was starting to get a little tired and worn out. I will say that the writers have written themselves into a corner with Peter's character, i wonder how they will work that out. 

I'm not sure when i will post tomorrow as I am working a split shift and the day promises to be more aggravating then necessary.

Literally all I did today was hop down to the ridiculously cold Safeway to nab some much needed consumables, Watch Doctor Who, and Play Spore... A tad ridiculous really... 

The Photo to the right is what i wore for Halloween last year, i have lost about 20 pounds since that photo... apparently out of my cheeks...

I bought Spore... you are jealous

I bought a computer game today, which is rare considering i have a Mac and there are something like 4 games on the planet that are supported by the Mac Operating system... Spore is made by the same company that made Sims and Sims 2 i played it for a little while today and it is somewhat amusing. the basic idea of the game is you create a species as an amoeba and follow it through it's evolution (see how i did that, Yesterday i talked about God and today I talked about evolution part of your daily well balanced blog.) 

   

     Work was pretty uneventful i managed to spend next to no time in my department. which in hindsight is probably not the best thing i could have done... The store inventory is this wednesday there are a lot of people that are really stressing over it. I have taken the "Eh what can you do" approach, I don't think my boss is excited about it. This is my concern see how it is empty and meaningless... LOL

  

   I am exhausted right now, I am practically falling asleep as i write this... short posts for the win, talk at you all tomorrow.... 

***EDIT***  I would also like to mention that it is my little brothers Birthday today as I mentioned i had dinner with he and his wife last night, we had home made  pizza and played Scene it ver 2... yeah be Jealous... grin 

He Lies and Does Little, but he is so Hood!

The title of this blog will only make sense to like one person, who at the moment doesn't have access to a computer. That being the case I will explain, last night I watched My Fair Lady with Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harris... Fantastic movie, you might recognize Rex harris as the original Dr Dolittle AKA as the One before Eddie Murphy & Raven Simone effed it up. Audrey Hepburn's Character name is Eliza Dolittle which is a little weird now that i think about it. Do you suppose that Dolittle is a common name over in Jolly Ol' England, similar perhaps to our own Johnson or Williams? 

     I want to point out that it is nonsensical little rants like that, that make me refrain from so many posts in such a small time frame. This marks the fourth post in a row, holy cow i might have started a pattern. 

   A funny thing happened to me while at work today, aside from smashing my finger which amused the people around me but not me specifically. First about an hour after i got to work one of my employees started randomly talking to me about her church involvement and Singles group and so on and so forth i didn't really think anything of it until a little later when one of the Vendors (The Nabisco Guy to be precise) randomly quoted a bible verse to me, Specifically John 3:16 for God so loved the world He sent His only begotten son.... yadda yadda... Did I just yadda yadda a Biblical  verse... Yeah I did I'm hood like that, what of it... (for those not down with The Gangster Lingo, Hood is defined as cool or tough.  I think. Recently a song was made popular titled "I'm so Hood!" and it has sense become cool to refer to ones self as "Hood")  The thing that struck me as funny wasn't that someone randomly quoted a verse at me, it was my retort which was a paraphrased verse about not being hot or cold but Luke warm and spat from His mouth. The reason I found this funny is not my shock that i have retained some of it, but simply even when I was extremely active in the church i wasn't one to randomly spout anything biblical at all, I know a few folks who would think that this might be God reaching out to me, I'm not looking that deep into it... 

  In other news I am heading to get my hair cut and hang out with my little Bro and his wife to have a fun filled night of Boggle and card games... oh the fun we will have... LOL

A Spot O' Tea

Holy Childhood Trauma Fatman, a blog entry three consecutive days in a row. Today is Payday at Wal~Mart, it is my personal opinion that this day is more of a day of sadness then happiness, because after working many, many hours when you see all of your hard labor in numerical form and with only three figures in front of the decimal point. One can't help but think of all of his or her bills that will barely be paid after investing so much of their energy time and yes lives into a beast that obviously couldn't care less. Needless to say even with 16 hours of overtime i am not impressed with my wages. It can not be helped at the moment, so I suffer on. 

    I went and bought a few groceries after leaving work early today. and while at the grocery store i was once again reminded at how much i hate cooking for only one person... So any single ladies out there looking for a man that can cook... Look no further.  I also finally bought a giant Cappuccino Mug so that I could drink my tea in a quantity suitable to my liking,  I have mentioned before that I wish I was british, I think my affection for Tea is a manifestation of that... I love tea with honey, though i do not understand the obsession of putting milk into it, i'm not quite that british... recently i have been occupying what little free time I have with the newest adventures of England's longest running series Doctor Who, it truly is a fantastic show... the writing is superb... and the Characters are incredibly sincere and intelligent. In Short me Like.

Wal-Mart Drama

 The store inventory is a week from today, I think I am the only person in the store not sweating bullets... this could have a lot to do with the fact that I have every intention of jumping to the next best thing as soon as it comes about... Today while I was taking my lunch I received a phone call from a National Bank Chain Recruiter, she is going to pass my name onto some of her colleagues which doesn't actually mean anything at the moment, but could turn into something a little down the line. 

This is an attempt at my reposting to this blog with some regularity... we will see... 

Random fact of the day... Tomorrow is Payday for my first official for  pay period, My bills will be paid, I'll be broke and you will be jealous...
