Five things you didn't know

So some friends of mine and my very beautiful girlfriend Helen have decided to blog everyday until the start of Vidcon, I know that it is highly unlikely that I am going to be able to make that type of commitment.

In fact I am convinced I wouldn't last a week let alone 29 days, so I have decided that when ever one of them brings up a topic that I have an opinion on or that tickles my fancy, I am going to write my own blog, Hooray for solidarity, or lazy idea thieving writers.

The topic that caught my idea today was written by the very beautiful Helen Abbott, I'm not biased, really. The girl is a fox. Her blog today was based on a youtube video by one of our friends Kayla.

I am now going to answer the same questions to the best of my ability!!!

Question 1. If you could go back in time and speak to your 15 year old self, what one thing would you say to yourself?
Wow, 15 years ago, I was a bit of a bastard child. I think I would tell the young twerp to avoid girls named after Greek mountains that resemble them in stature no matter what they are willing to do to get your attention.

I think I would also tell him to be a bit less of a jack ass to his mother, although I doubt I would listen. And to let her know that she should stick with the Wild ginger haired guy that her children adore, as she will eventually figure out she is his brand of heroine. (I should be shot for referencing my mother and her husband and Twilight in the same sentence.)

Question 2: If you had a boat what would you name it?

I think if I had a boat I would name it The Scarlett Delorean, referencing two things that have a solid influence on me to this day. Spider-Man (aka the Scarlett Spider)and Back to the Future.

Question 3: What was your best birthday ever
I think with out a doubt my best birthday ever was my thirtieth birthday. I was in England with the love of my life, and could not have asked for a better day.

Question 4:
In a film of your life what actor or actress would play you?
Helen suggested the British comedian James Corden, which I would obviously be happy with, though as Helen mentioned she talked about this very same subject on her show last week, I think I would be happy with Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen or Jack Black if James Corden was unavailable.

Question 5: Is there something you do that not many others know about, that would help them if they knew to do it?
Much like Helen this question confused me. I think they are asking if I do anything that helps me get by in life that others are unaware of that might help them. I think the thing I do most is watch, Adults, children, Men, women, animals, life happens with out waiting. If you aren't looking it might happen with out you.

Wish I Didn’t Know Now the Things I Didn’t Know Then.

The title of a lesser known song by Toby Keith, although i think for myself and probably a lot of my readers out there it is a feeling I have had more than once.  First and foremost I want to say Happy Birthday to Ted.... LOL now you are really old...  And thank you very much mother for calling and waking me on my day off, and then acting shocked that i was still asleep at 10 am. Which I think is perfectly respectable after a long hard week. I digress, So as I was grocery shopping earlier today, I started thinking about how hard it must be to try and plan meals for an entire family a week or two in advance. It’s one of those things that I absolutely hate doing.

I was remembering walking through the aisles with which ever set of parents I was with at that particular time and realizing the contrast between what was on my mind (which depending on my particular age could have been anything from Spider-Man to the cute girl down the street, or possibly being Spider-Man and saving the cute girl down the street) to what was undoubtedly on their minds, Trying to get enough food to last, keeping with in the budgeted amount, possibly an argument that they had recently with which ever significant other they were with at that particular time.  I am not sure how many of you are aware but i really enjoy just watching people, peeking into a small moment of their lives and trying to guess their stories, (Which is similar to opening to a random page in a book and trying to guess the plot) I have realized that a grocery store is a great place to get a peek there are a lot of clues in their baskets alone that can give you tiny details of their lives, as well as the random arguments that shopping for food tends to initiate.

So things around here have been incredibly stressful for me, as per usual there is never enough money, definitely not enough time and sadly not enough interest to go around. I have become more and more closed off to others in the last few weeks. I don’t know if I have an actual reason or if i’m just tired of trying to put on a mask so that no one suspects that I am flooded with debt and seriously worried wether or not i am going to make it to the next paycheck.

I think i am just frustrated because i am surrounded by people who constantly beg their families for money, I have been on my own for a long time and it hasn’t ever been easy but i just assumed that is how it had to be, these people in my life now they each have their own stressors and in no way am i saying that theirs are less stressing than mine, it just seems they still have that safety net underneath them that i haven’t had since i lived with my mother all those years ago.. I wasn’t aware you could get financial Training wheels as well.

In other news as i sort of half way mentioned under the video as of March 1st i am once again wearing Prescription lenses, I have known for a while that my eye sight was deteriorating as it was getting harder and harder to see things at a distance, when ever i took an eye test in the military I just memorized the eye chart before taking the test and then I would have no worries (you might groan at that, but for any of you who have seen Military issued prescription glasses you would understand my reasoning) These new glasses don’t look too bad, it is a little odd getting used to wearing them. but i suppose i shall adapt and over come... more to come!!!!

Oh and by the way Happy St. Patty’s Day!!!!
